Who We Are

Chenjedzo Community Development Trust (CDT) is a non-political, pracademic think tank dedicated to strengthening humanitarian service delivery and community resilience through innovative, evidence-based solutions. We act as a bridge connecting institutions of higher learning, research experts, community structures, local governments, and development partners, facilitating inclusive dialogues that address critical issues like climate change, disaster risk reduction, youth empowerment, and food security.

Guided by our core values of integrity, responsiveness, inclusiveness, transparency, and neutrality, CDT integrates research with practical actions, empowering vulnerable communities across urban and rural settings. Through partnerships and targeted interventions, we contribute proactively toward achieving both local and global development agendas, notably the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring sustainable, timely, and community-driven solutions that enhance resilience and foster sustainable development.

Organizational Governance

Chenjedzo Community Development Trust (CDT) is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors responsible for providing strategic oversight, ensuring organizational integrity, accountability, and alignment with CDT’s vision and mission. The Board establishes clear policies, monitors performance, and offers guidance to foster transparency, sustainability, and effectiveness in achieving humanitarian and developmental objectives.

The Executive Director, who reports directly to the Board, leads the day-to-day operations and strategic execution of CDT’s mandate. The ED is supported by senior technical managers who coordinate programs, financial stewardship, and administrative processes at the national level. This governance structure ensures efficient operational management, effective resource utilization, compliance with established standards, and responsiveness to community needs and stakeholder expectations.
