Advancing Collaborative Dialogue and Sustainable Solutions for Resilient, Empowered Communities...
Our Mandate
Chenjedzo Community Development Trust (CDT) is a non-political, pracademic community development thinktank committed to linking institutions of higher learning with communities to strengthen humanitarian service delivery and drive evidence-based, innovative solutions. Rooted in factism over activism, CDT facilitates inclusive dialogue with stakeholders—ranging from grassroots leaders to academia—to address pressing socio-economic and environmental challenges. Through integrated research, policy engagement, and targeted interventions, CDT promotes resilience, youth empowerment, climate action, and sustainable development across communities.
Driving Local Impact Through Global Development Goals
CDT’s mission is to advance both local and global development agendas, with a focus on key Sustainable Development Goals such as No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health, Gender Equality, Clean Water, Sustainable Economy, Climate Action, Inclusive Societies, and Partnerships for the Goals.
Our Work
CDT focuses on building resilient communities through integrated actions across climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, environmental and watershed management, and humanitarian response. Its work also prioritizes food and nutrition security and empowers youth as key agents of sustainable development.
Our Partners
CDT collaborates with universities, research institutions, local leadership, and development partners through MoUs and Public-Private Partnerships to deliver innovative and sustainable community solutions. Partnered technocrats support key processes such as community dialogues, research, and policy brief development to strengthen humanitarian service delivery and inform government engagement.
